The Explorers planed to hike slightly higher than the Scouts but due to felled trees being air lifted off the mountain had to amend their plans.  The heat shocked everyone but Geoff advised the explorers that water moving as fast as this and away from people and animals was probably safe to drink. The Explorers didn't need Geoff to point out it would also be very cold!

Geoff's team of explorers arrived at the lake shortly after the Scouts.
