SUNDAY MORNING
Early Sunday morning, we left the sleeper at Basel where we caught a Swiss train to Bern
and from there into the Alps. On arrival at Kandersteg station we had a mile long hike to the camp site.
Meanwhile, the Landrover had been met in
Kandersteg by Dave a Networker from Gidea Park. Tired and
weary from their journey the leaders unpacked all of our kit
and carried it the length of the camp site to our small field.

Sunday morning was spent pitching tents on
our very small camp site. Sunday afternoon and evening
the Scouts and Explorers were able to wander around the camp
site meeting foreign scouts for the first time and some of
the leaders relaxed in the bar sporting our "Alfie
Moon" shirts.
